Changing the story through coordinated action
The Global Book Alliance is a partnership of donor agencies, multilateral institutions, and civil society organizations that are committed to bringing books to every child in the world by 2030. The Alliance was formed in 2018 in order to bring together global education partners to end illiteracy through a coordinated effort to shape the book market to better address the growing book gap challenge.

A world in which all children achieve literacy and have access to quality books in a language that they understand with which they can learn to read, read to learn, and develop a love of reading.
Our Mission
To transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by working with partners to identify, promote, and support innovations, best practice, and policies that will change the way books are created, procured, and provided.
