GLOBAL DIGITAL LIBRARY USER TESTING REPORT
GDL and GBAIA staff visited four elementary schools and two special needs schools — in their report, the following conclusions were reached:
While they may need extra time and encouragement, Cambodian students can engage in and succeed with reflection activities and other instructional content. Instructional content has potential to be used in Cambodian schools to good effect.
Deaf students had no trouble navigating and accessing books from the GDL.
Both deaf and typical students showed great enthusiasm and preference for mathematics based mini-games.
Interpretation was critical, and students appeared to share more freely when working with a female interpreter.
Accessibility features for students with visual impairments have potential and should be further developed.
